Tablet Hotels

A while back, Kyle Predki sent me a link to an artist’s site that was filled with lively, colorful, characters rendered in pen & ink and watercolor. Then he asked me, “Do you think you could animate this?” 😁

Tablet Hotels commissioned four illustrations from Pauline de Roussy de Sales showing off what travel is like when you book with them. kerpy was tasked with bringing those illustrations to life in four :30 spots. Figuring out how to animate these wildly organic scenes was a fun challenge. It turns out that, sometimes, when you want something to look like it was made by hand, the best way forward is to just do it by hand.
